Canada Blower / Buffalo, New York supplies highly specialised blower packages for the nuclear industry and equipment for a number of other applications, including gas CO2 circulator blowers, or submerged blowers, that provide the heat transfer in the Advanced Gas cooled Reactors and which in turn provide substantial part of nuclear generated electricity; units that once installed operate with no maintenance during plant operation. More Industrial Blowers and Fans Uses
For the more common water cooled reactors, Canada Blower / Buffalo, New York supply the fans associated with the various safety systems and reactor building cooling, and the diaphragm turbo pressure blowers for radioactive gas leak recovery. Where these gases have to be compressed to high pressure the turb blowers that are mainly preferred. Encapsulated blowers have been used in the auxiliary systems of demonstration fusion reactors.
Centrifugal Blowers and Centrifugal Fans
For reprocessing plants, specialised centrifugal fans are used for cell cooling and turbo pressure blowers – for pressure testing. For decommissioning, centrifugal fans are used in ventilation and cooling.
